Where is Zimbabwe? 

Zimbabwe is a landlocked country located in Southeastern Africa, bordered by South Africa to the south, Botswana to the south-west, Zambia to the north, and Mozambique to the east. Victoria Falls 

One of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World, Victoria Falls is truly a sight to behold. Many of our trips will start or end in Victoria Falls- even if the client decides to safari outside of Zimbabwe. The world’s largest waterfall (measuring twice the height of Niagara Falls). The falls are situated on the Zambezi River, which forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. They are part of the Zambezi River and are shared with Zambia. 75% of the falls can be seen from Zimbabwe, while the other 25% are within Zambia.

The falls are a sight to be seen and the area offers lots of activities for adrenaline seekers. Visitors can take a boat ride to the base of the falls or hike to one of the many lookout points for a bird’s eye view. Whitewater rafting and bungee jumping from the famous Victoria Falls bridge are also popular activities in the area. For a more leisurely activity, enjoy high tea at Stanley’s terrace with views of the falls, or go on an evening river cruise on the Zambezi River. Hwange National Park

Situated in western Zimbabwe, the Hwange National Park is the country's biggest reserve, home to a profusion of wildlife, including giraffe, lion, zebra and approximately 40,000 elephants. It is also the best place to see the Endangered African Wild dogs within Zimbabwe. The park is also home to a wide array of bird species, with more than 500 species recorded. Visitors can go on walking safaris to see the wildlife up close.

Hwange National Park is one of Africa’s premier wildlife destinations. The park’s magnificent terrain ranges from desert dunes, savannah lands and mopane woodlands to rocky outcrops and sparse forests. Visitors can look forward to game drives and guided walks. Hwange offers a wide range of safari camps from rustic bush camps to luxurious camps and lodges

Mana Pools

A UNESCO World Heritage Site located in northern Zimbabwe, The Zambezi River makes Mana Pools National Park one of Zimbabwe’s most lush and flourishing regions. Characterized by a diversity of landscapes including floodplains, forests, and baobab trees.; providing a fantastic destination for photographers it is also one of the continent’s premier game-viewing locations.

While visiting Mana Pools, there is a good chance of seeing elephants, wild dogs, lions, and leopards. Mana Pools is also home to crocodiles, hippos, cheetahs, eastern black rhinos, as well as a variety of birds, including the iconic African fish eagle. Visitors can enjoy a host of activities such as canoe trips, guided walks, game drives, river cruises, nature walks, bird watching, catch-and-release fishing, and searching for dinosaur tracks. Many of the camps in the region are seasonal and close during the wet season.

Matusadona National Park

Located in Northern Zimbabwe on the shores of Lake Kariba, the world’s largest man-made lake, Matusadona provides a great habitat for wildlife including buffalo, waterbuck, zebra and impala. Where prey thrives as do predators. On the shores of the lake itself you can find Nile Crocodiles, herds of elephant and hippos in shallow waters. For bird watching enthusiast this is a not to miss spot. You can enjoy game drives, fishing, canoeing and boating. For a truly unique experience, houseboating is also available on the lake.

Matobo National Park

Matobo National Park is renowned for its impressive granite rock formations and abundance of wildlife. The park is home to rhinos, leopards, elands, and many other animals. Those who want to explore the park can go on guided walks or mountain biking and hiking trails to see the rock art sites and unique landscapes.
